Prizes

Nominees will receive a certificate of nomination. Winners in each category will receive a custom-designed physical award and a certificate of excellence.

In each category, two prizes will be awarded:

  • The Category Winner, determined by the combined scores from the jury and the public vote.

  • The Public Award, given to the nominated project in that category with the most public votes.

If the jury and public vote for the same project, that project will receive both awards. If the votes differ, the awards will go to separate projects.

All nominees and winners will be featured prominently on platforms such as ArchDaily, Architonic, and Designboom, reaching millions of professionals in the architecture and design industries.

Judging

Entries will be evaluated using a dual scoring system: a Jury Vote and a Public Vote.

FritsJurgens will nominate 15 projects in total—5 per category (Interior, Exterior, Specialty Applications). These will be presented to an independent international expert jury for evaluation.

Simultaneously, the public will be invited to vote online via www.fritsjurgens.com/bpd. The final Category Winner in each category will be determined based on the combined scores from both the Jury and Public Vote.

Separately, the Public Award in each category will go to the nominee with the most public votes in that category.
If the same project scores highest in both the public vote and jury scoring, it will win both awards. If not, the awards will go to separate nominees.

The judging criteria include: design, application, uniqueness, contextual fit, materials used, and submitted specifications.

Jury

The contest jury consists of an independent international panel of experts, including architects, interior designers, and makers. Jurors are selected for their expertise and industry recognition.

To ensure impartiality, jury members are prohibited from judging in a category in which they have submitted or are associated with a project. However, they may serve as jurors in other categories where they are not competing.

In addition to the expert jury, the public serves as a voting body, contributing to the final results through an open voting process hosted on the official contest website.

Notification

FritsJurgens has the right to contact all the participants via phone or e-mail to provide more information about the contest. Nominated participants will be contacted by phone and/or email in the second half of November. Winners will be announced in early December.

Participants are expected toch behave respectfully and with integrity throughout the entire competition. Explicit verbal or non-verbal language is not permitted in any part of the competition and may result in rejection of the entry.
