Dedication to quality

James Pridgeon, the founder of Steel Window Design, takes pride in building the highest quality windows and doors for the Australian market. He believes that what sets his company apart from competitors is their commitment to using the highest quality hardware to complement their products. James states, "We build everything with Australian-made products where we can and where we can't, we choose the highest quality product to allow us to keep building the highest quality windows and doors." This dedication to quality shines through in every aspect of their work.

Controlling the process

Steel Window Design's attention to detail extends to their sourcing of materials. While they acquire hardware from various locations, including the Netherlands and England, their team in Australia uses Australian steel and products whenever possible. This allows them to have better control over the manufacturing process and ensure the highest level of quality. James emphasizes, "Our suppliers allow us to do projects all over Australia, but certain elements of hardware backing up our handmade product, such as the FritsJurgens pivots, allow us to use large amounts of steel. We can design pretty much anything we want to build. We give our clients the product they want, and the functionality to back it up."

Commitment to excellence

The growth of Steel Window Design is a testament to their commitment to excellence. Starting from designing windows and doors in their living room, they have now expanded to a team of 18 to 19 people involved in manufacturing. James notes, "We deliver all our own products, we make our own products. We do as much as we can in-house. We spend a lot of time focusing on that top 5%, and it allows us to keep improving our product and stay in front of our competition." This hands-on approach enables them to continuously refine their product and maintain their competitive edge.
