A pivot door does not hang on hinges fixed to a frame. It turns on one axis, set by a point at the floor and a point at the ceiling. That is what lets it open in one continuous movement, with no frame in sight. What makes it work stays hidden. It is the result of years of testing, and of decisions made long before your project began, by a family business in Kolham, in the Netherlands. The same movement at any weight
Weight should not change how a door feels when it moves. Each FritsJurgens system has its own precise movement, whether that is free swing, soft hydraulic closing or a firm hold at a preset position. A light door moves with the same smooth, balanced motion as a door of up to 500 kg. That movement stays quiet, secure and consistent from the day it is installed and for decades after.
Easy to install
Innovation only counts when it adds real value on site. Every system is designed to be milled and mounted efficiently, plug and play, even in a finished space. Installation takes no more than 30 minutes.
Freedom of design
Our systems suit a wide range of door materials, including timber, steel, stone and composite. They carry doors up to 500 kg and up to four metres wide, with no limit on height. The freedom goes beyond a single door, to pivoting walls, floor-to-ceiling doors and hidden passageways. The pivot point can sit at the side or in the centre.
Hardware hidden inside the door
There are no floor boxes and no visible fittings. Every FritsJurgens system is fully integrated inside the door, and only two small plates remain visible, at floor and ceiling level. This gives architects freedom in design, material and planning, because there is no need to plan around the pivot point early in a project. Whether the floor is concrete, natural stone or timber, or has underfloor heating, the door is fitted once the floor is ready.
Designed and developed in-house
Every FritsJurgens system is designed, developed and kept in-house. From the start, the work has followed our founder's philosophy: "The perfect design is innovative, functional, beautiful and usable." Our own R&D team refines the systems already in use and develops what comes next. It studies everything that affects how a pivot door performs, including the frame, the floor, the material and the installation, and we share what we learn.
Tested to 500,000 cycles
Every system is tested to 500,000 cycles before it leaves the factory. Assembly takes place in a space set up for our quality standards. Each system is checked against a golden sample, a reference unit that makes sure quality and performance never drift. It rarely happens, but if something does go wrong, we put it right.
Local presence and support
Our head office is in Kolham, in the Netherlands, and we also have our own offices in New York in the United States and in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. A technical question is handled with care. Wherever possible, it is answered by someone local who understands your market, speaks your language and knows the system inside out.
Delivery dates we keep
We manage our own stock. A delivery date from FritsJurgens is a commitment, not an estimate. Keeping it does not depend on anyone else's supply chain.
