Lost Villa

Crafted from locally sourced Balinese wood, this entrance door celebrates the island’s deep tradition of craftsmanship. Every detail was hand-carved by local artisans, then charred to create the distinctive dark finish that highlights the natural texture of the wood. For the owner, the door represents more than an entry; it’s a statement of cultural identity.

Rooted in Balinese artistry yet elevated by contemporary precision, it brings together heritage and modern engineering. Fitted with FritsJurgens System M+, the heavy wooden door moves with effortless grace. Its concealed technology complements the handcrafted surface, allowing the craftsmanship to take center stage, a perfect balance between art and performance.

The contest is international. So, door-makers, designers and architects worldwide that have a project supported by FritsJurgens systems are eligible to participate.
